Pat Lamborn found Christ on a farm in 1974 as a 19 year, was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit and never looked back! He farmed in Northland with his wife Margie and growing family until they moved to Auckland to attend the Assemblies of God Bible College. Pat then became an associate pastor at the then West City Christian Centre in Glendene.
In 1998 they accepted a call to Timaru Assembly of God, now Connect Community Church. During the 14 years that they led the church they saw steady growth and the development of a great team of young leaders and highly mobilised members deeply involved in the church and their community. In 2012 they moved into Christchurch to begin a church plant.
Connect Church (Christchurch) is now a full membership church based in Spreydon.
Pat was a Regional Overseer in the South Island prior to being elected onto the National Executive. He believes that healthy pastors build healthy churches – and healthy pastors spring from life-giving relationships with mentors and peers. Our unity in our diversity is a powerful strength of our movement and he wants to see this further developed. He has a passion for reaching lost people – not only here in NZ but beyond. He is the Overseas Missions facilitator for the movement.
Pat and Margie have been blessed with 5 children. They both enjoy gardening and spending time with their 11 grandchildren.
