Pat Lamborn found Christ on a farm in 1974 when he was 19, was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit and never looked back! He farmed in Northland with his wife Margie and a growing family until they were both attended the Assemblies of God Bible College in Sandringham before going on staff at the then West City Christian Centre in Glendene, Auckland.
In 1998 the Lamborns accepted a call to Timaru Assembly of God, now Connect Community Church. During the 14 years they led the church they saw steady growth and the development of a great team of young leaders and highly mobilised members deeply involved in the church and their community. At the end of 2012 they handed the church over and moved to Christchurch to plant a new church in Cashmere. Connect Church (Christchurch) is already a full member church of A/G NZ. They are enjoying the challenge!
Pat was a Regional Overseer in the South Island for six years before being elected to the Executive Presbytery six years ago. For the past few years he has served the Movement as its Overseas Missions facilitator, an exciting role that is expanding with a vision to see every A/G church become a ‘missional’ church with global vision. His heart and passion is to see more AG/NZ missionaries and partnerships raised up across the whole Movement. Pat is also a NZ Police Chaplain.
The Lamborns have been blessed with five children, four of whom are married. There are now 10 grandchildren. Pat and Margie both love gardening and doing life together.
