Robin & Margaret Aim
Robin and Margaret were sent from citywestchurch, New Plymouth as missionaries to Kenya in 1983. Their family of 3 were educated in Kenya. Stephen is married to Meredith and lives in the US with their 3 sons. Lindel married Steve Foots and lives in Auckland. They have two sons.
They know God has called them to strengthen the church in Kenya and reach out to the poor. Robin has seen God provide miraculously for facilities for slum churches and for a farm that teaches discipleship and agricultural skills. Robin also was used by God to help plant a church that the farm boys attend. Margaret’s passion is training Sunday School teachers and she has a team who travels throughout East Africa transforming churches by training in skills to reach children. This has now been developed into a new ministry “Msingi Wa Ahadi Bora” (Foundation for a better promise) which facilitates Children’s Worker Trainings, schools and family ministry.
Afri-Lift was established by Robin and Margaret to alleviate poverty by empowering young persons and their families. The programs include child sponsorship, leadership development, emergency feeding, children ministry, street programs and church planting. Afri-lift has created projects such as primary schools, sports program, vocational training centre and a rehabilitation farm in Kiserian. Some of these have now been handed over to the local leadership. Over a 30-year period Afri-Lift has been on the forefront of not creating programs but people who are rehabilitated back into society. Robin and Margaret work with national and local employees, long term and short term volunteers.
